DECIEM: The Ordinary Foundation Review♡

DECIEM: The Abnormal Beauty Company

Hey girls. So I recently discovered Deciem foundations and I've always wanted to try their foundations as it was cheap and affordable to buy, I also didn't want to keep using my Fenty foundation as it's almost finishing and well makeup is expensive to buy. I bought the ordinary foundation and to be honest it's actually really good, especially if you're looking for a foundation not too expensive and want to wear everyday. It does have a medium light coverage but if you build that up on your face you will get the coverage you'll need and believe me this is coming from a person who suffers a lot with breakouts and spots so the foundation does do the job.

You can find Deciem in Shoreditch, near the old Spitalfields market & the other store is on Bethnal Green Road near Shoreditch High Street station.

This foundation retails to the price at 5.95 - The shade I got matched to is 3.0 Y (Y for yellow undertone). There are other types so for example if you have red undertone then they have that too. With my face it's a yellow undertone, my T-zone is dry and my face is oily. However, I did notice that the colour they matched with me looked a bit dark as my sister and aunt got matched the same colour and in other foundations such as Fenty we are totally different colour shades so that's one disadvantage about that as the foundation oxidises and makes you look darker.

Top 3 lip products - NYX Lip Lingerie♡

Hey girls. If you follow me on Instagram you probably already know that I finally decided to change my blog/YouTube name. I've mentioned this in my last Q&A that I hated the name ohsnapitzaffy as I created that name when I was young and well I thought since I update my blog from time to time I might as well change it to something I'm more comfortable with. As you can tell by my title I've decided to name it Afs blogs, I find that so much better to work with and hopefully you'll see more upcoming stuff so make sure you do subscribe to my YouTube which is Afs blogs however you can still search ohsnapitzaffy and it'll still come up as I can't seem to change my domain name but I will fix that soon.

So with that out of the way let's jump right in to today's post. I am in love with the NYX lip lingerie products so I just had to buy 2 more of these (which I showed in my last mini haul post). I'm telling you guys these are like the best lip lingerie's I have ever bought, they're so matte and the colours are amazing and it's only £7.00 which is affordable.

The colours i'm in love with is Seduction, Exotic and Cabaret Show. These are defo my new fave and I would defo recommend them to you. The advantages of these matte lip glosses is that you don't need to worry about re-applying it every time. Would definitely be purchasing this again.

Don't forget to follow me on Instagram: afsblogs and also subscribe to the YouTube channel, will be uploading a new video soon.

Mini Make-up Haul♡

Hey girls, so today I'm going to be doing a mini makeup haul, makeup is so expensive like I literally bought 4 items and this cost around 30 pounds which hurts me to spend but girls gotta buy it. So, first of all, I went to NYX because if you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat then you'll know that I lost one of my favourite lipsticks by NYX so I had to purchase this again. It's the lip lingerie in the shade 'Seduction', this matte lipgloss is honestly so amazing. The colour of it is a pink/nudey shade and it's also matte so you wouldn't need to worry about re-applying every now and then which is a positive side about all matte products. I also bought another shade, 'Exotic', I haven't tried this on my lips yet but when I swatched this in store it looked like a colour that I would wear so I had to buy it. I'll defo keep you posted about how I feel about the shade when I do wear it.

Obviously had to restock on my concealer, this has to be the best concealer I have tried however I do want to try another concealer (this is for like pigmentations by the way) if you have any recommendations please tell me. I also bought a green corrector as I have a lot of redness on my face so this will help cancel out redness.

That will be all for my mini haul, hopefully, I will upload another haul on my YouTube so make sure you subscribe and watch out for it.

Benefits of Aloe Vera♡

Hey bloggers, I'm back with another post. So recently I have had a lot of breakouts, I've been experiencing these breakouts for a very long time now and I've literally tried everything but it seems to go away for a couple weeks and then come back again, I started searching online about good face masks for skin like mine and saw that a lot of people compliment Aloe Vera and oh my gosh guys this actually is so good for the skin! Since I have started using Aloe Vera for my face my skin seems a lot smoother and my spots have almost gone, obviously need to use it for couple weeks to actually tell you in-depth and to see a change however it does seem to give results quicker. Aloe vera is extensively used in beauty products and for other uses, over time aloe vera has seamlessly integrated itself into everything we use. But what makes this miracle plant so distinguishable?
Down below I have listed different ways to use aloe vera, this is my researched information and my own personal ways that I've been using it too.

Aloe Vera for Dry Skin -

- Take some aloe vera
- A pinch of turmeric
- A teaspoon of honey
- A teaspoon of milk
- Few drops of rose water
- Blend this mix together till you get a paste. Apply this to your face and leave in for about 20 minutes or so.

Aloe Vera Scrub -

- Half a cup of fresh aloe vera gel
- A cup of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
(The sugar will help exfoliate and scrub off dead skin, the aloe vera will deep clean the skin and the lemon will help fade out scars and tan. Stir the 3 ingredients together and use it to scrub both face and body).

Aloe Vera for Acne -

- Take some aloe vera gel
- Blended walnuts (with a flour-like consistency)
- Honey
(Aloe Vera's healing properties coupled with anti-oxidants from honey will leave you with smooth and clear skin).

Aloe Vera for Sensitive Skin -

- Aloe vera gel
- Cucumber juice
- Yoghurt
- Rose oil
(Blend them to a paste, apply and leave for around 20 minutes, then rinse it off).

Aloe Vera for Weight-Loss -

How to drink aloe vera juice: The natural taste of aloe vera is so bitter that you wouldn't think of consuming it. So to do this...
- Take the gel, dice it into small pieces and blend
- Mix a bit of this with some other fruit or vegetable juice that's preferably sweet.
- You can also use the leaves of aloe vera, blend them, strain and drink.
(If you find it too bitter then mix it up with honey and drink. You can also add some lemon to this mix.

Aloe Vera for Hairfall -

Aloe vera contains something called proteolytic enzymes which repairs dead skin cells on the scalp. It also acts as a great conditioner and leaves your hair all smooth and shiny. It promotes hair growth, prevents itching on the scalp, reduces dandruff and conditions your hair. Aloe vera has a chemical make up similar to that of keratin and it rejuvenates the hair with its own nutrients, giving it more elasticity and preventing breakage. A good remedy would be to use aloe vera juice and extra virgin coconut oil. Apply this and leave it in for as long as possible for strong, smooth and bouncy hair.
So the question is how to use aloe vera for hair growth...? Well simple, a lot of these remedies involve using fresh aloe vera gel. You can extract your own gel by slicing an aloe vera leaf and scooping out the gel using a spoon.

Castor Oil and Aloe Vera for Hair Growth.
Castor oil is an excellent hair growth treatment that helps boost hair while also adding volume. The oil along with aloe vera helps stimulate hair regrowth and also curbs hair fall. This aloe vera treatment helps stimulate hair growth from the dormant hair follicles on your scalp. It also helps nourish and condition your hair strands, preventing breakage and split ends.

YOU WILL NEED:
 - 1 cup fresh aloe vera gel
- 2 tablespoons of castor oil
- 2 tablespoons of fenugreek powder
- Shower cap
- Towel

Process: (1) In a bowl, mix all the ingredients until you get a smooth and consistent paste. (2) Apply this mixture to your scalp and hair. Ensure that you're focusing most on your roots and tips. (3) Once your hair is fully covered in the mixture, cover it with a shower cap. (4) Go to bed with the mixture on. You may wrap a towel around the shower cap for added heat and to keep the shower cap from shifting. (5) In the morning, wash the mixture off with cool water and shampoo. Finish off with conditioner. You should do this 1-2 times a week for best results. You can also combine aloe vera with honey, lemon, egg, coconut milk and shea butter, you can easily search this up on google on how to make these remedies at home.
